10 days before a football match:

Messi’s diet is called low carb height protein diet, which contains protein quakes 3 times a day.He drinks 7-8 glasses of water in order to avoid dehydration.

5 days before a football match:


5 days before a football match Lionel Messi prefers to improve his thinner blood because a thinner blood can run easily in the veins and provide oxygen to cells quickly during running. The above mentioned diet is described with vegetable soup before every mealtime. The soup must contain a high amount of turmeric, chili, coriander and ginger as they help in making blood thin.

A day before the match: 

It is an admitted fact that afternoon meal plays a central role, so Lionel takes fish, prawn and chicken along with boiled potatoes to improve his energy level plus green vegetables and an orange. It is known fact that orange has lot features, so mostly sportsmen use orange for improve their energy and get desired outputs.

6 hours before the match: 

6 hours before the start of match are better to invest these hours in sleeping rather than being awake and eat. Lionel Mess does same, even in case Messi awakes; he never takes any wheat-related food as carbohydrates can slow down the body and insists him to sleep more. Instead, he takes egg white for ideal balance of proteins and carbohydrates.

90 minutes before the match: 

Messi prefers eat seasonal fruits 70-90 minutes before the match. Banana, mango, apple and orange because these are less sugar content and have best amount of fiber.

Lionel Messi’s Workout:

Lionel Messi’s workout includes instant thrust and linear speed and also deals with movement in different directions in his practice. Lionel continues a series of stretching, which is a combination of body’s elasticity and strong building process. This includes squat jumps, rope skipping and hopping hurdles. After stretching he does a few rounds of short sprint in order to increase the stamina and then a 5-minute run.

 These exercises provide Messi with quick movement of feet in linear direction with unstable conditions and patterns in the field. Lionel begins with the focuses on movement groundwork. These exercises include pillar skip, forward lunge and multi-directional grasp. Pillar skip is an exercise of running ahead while lifting the feet high in the air. After this, he does a final running of 10 minutes before the end.
